Tailored group spaces that integrate supervision, training, and reflection within real-world service settings.

Group supervision, training & reflective space

Group supervision and reflective spaces are tailored to the needs of each organisation and its staff. Groups are developed in response to the specific context, role demands, and client presentations relevant to the service, allowing content and focus to be adapted as required. These groups are intended to support ongoing reflective practice within professional roles and are designed to sit alongside existing supervision or organisational supports.

These groups are suited to professionals working in counselling, nursing, education, and other support-based roles, including AOD services, helplines, and broader health services. Content can be adapted to align with the service model, including brief-contact work, high-volume environments, phone-based support, and multidisciplinary teams.

Approach

Facilitation is structured yet flexible, providing clear direction while allowing discussion to develop in a way that is relevant to the group. Emphasis is placed on creating a respectful and professionally grounded environment that supports open reflection, while maintaining focus, boundaries, and role clarity. The space is oriented toward professional reflection and skill development, rather than individual therapy.

The approach integrates established evidence-based psychological frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and psychodynamic perspectives. These frameworks are used to inform discussion and support a shared language for understanding clinical work.

Format

Sessions follow a consistent structure, typically combining structured content with reflective discussion. The content component draws on clinically grounded topics relevant to the work of participants, while the reflective component provides space to step back from day-to-day demands, consider the impact of the work, explore challenges, and engage in peer-based learning.

Topics may include areas such as:

  • Empathic confrontation

  • Rupture and repair (example provided)

  • Sleep and mental health

  • Recognising neurodivergence

  • Working with complex trauma

  • Risk management

Content can be delivered as standalone sessions, short series, or as part of an ongoing program. Topics and focus can be adjusted over time in response to emerging needs or organisational priorities.

Delivery

Groups are primarily delivered online, with in-person sessions available where appropriate. Group size, frequency, and structure can be adjusted to align with organisational requirements.

Facilitators

Groups are facilitated by Clinical Psychologists or experienced group facilitators and trainers with backgrounds in organisational and professional development, selected based on the needs, context, and preferences of the organisation.
